Subareas of a renovated old salt warehouse, the „Salzkontor“ in Berlin Kopenhagenerstrasse 31c, merge with a new extension to 7 modern residential floors. At the interface of old and new, of brick and exposed concrete, the kitchen has been fitted.A cube covered in dark gray varnished plywood, including a bathroom and a chamber, passes into the high cabinets of the kitchen taking of fridge, oven and dishwasher and ensures lots of storage space. From this cube a white free-floating bolt is extending. The bodies, equipped with drawers, are framed by the black ledge of a strong and durable board material by Westag&Getalit giving it a filigran and grafic appearance.
Designed and realized in cooperation with Markus Lassan.
