CRACK is an innovative tool designed for preparing the quintessential English cucumber sandwich. This unique concept features a ceramic bread knife that, when “cracked” open, reveals a cucumber slicer. The design contrasts the durability of high-tech ceramics with the delicate nature of classic porcelain, highlighting the necessity of breaking the product to access its functionality. CRACK utilizes an advanced ceramic foil and is a result of prototyping in collaboration with KPM Berlin.
