In collaboration with Karen Olze, we designed and developed several products for Blumenfisch, a Berlin-based company. Blumenfisch is part of VIA, an organization dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges, the elderly, and those in need of care. VIA is also involved in childcare and youth welfare, in addition to producing handcrafted and artistic products.
Blumenfisch operates its own creative design and manufacturing facilities in Berlin. From initial concepts to final touches, they use only local materials to create their products. Each item is handcrafted in small production batches, ensuring exceptional quality and durability.
Before beginning the design process, we spent several days at Blumenfisch’s various workshops. This hands-on approach allowed us to gain a deep understanding of the unique abilities of their team and the potential for production within their workshops.
